Veronikon means “true image” and it is our chief goal to create objects
of religious devotion worthy of their Subject- Christ and His saints. Our articles have several
distinguishing characteristics that many have come to appreciate.
Each medallion, cross or article produced at VERONIKON is: Valuable: All the materials and precious metals are guaranteed, of high quality and generously used. Our business is not in marking up prices but in making art. This policy is our guarantee to you that the cost of a piece reflects the time and energy devoted to its crafting. Meaningful: materials, shapes, techniques, and subject can all be used to impart a meaning to a work of art. |
We harness this meaning and make an integral
part of the piece. Unique: Each item requires handwork and bench time therefore no two items will be identical. Personal: The greater part of the jewellery at Veronikon is commissioned or reflects my own personal devotion. Each client has his or her own devotions and spirituality and with our help they can express this individuality in a precious creation. Faithful: We serve Christ first in all things and will not use His gifts to dishonour Him in anyway. |

| Meet the Goldsmith | ||
|
Manuel Dauvin lives with his wife and children in Salem, Oregon.
Artistic technique has always fascinated Manuel and his experience with
different media, arts and trades has provided a broad base for his chief
artistic passion--goldsmithing. Goldsmithing, especially of religious articles,
came as the natural culmination and focal point of Mr. Dauvin's experience and
faith expression. However it is to the singular fortune of meeting and studying
under Boguslaw Mosielski, world-renowned goldsmith, jewellery designer and artist,
that Manuel credits his artistic foundation in this challenging art. Since his youth Manuel has felt a strong desire to create religious articles worthy of the the Christian Faith. It is his hope that from his workbench something can come into being which will inspire the mind and heart to ponder God's Beauty and Love: a sense of the Sacred. |
